MAN ARRESTED FOR DRUGS OFFENCES

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drug offences after we found wraps of crack cocaine and cash in Cannock

Officers were on patrol in the area yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 18 August) when they stopped a man acting suspiciously.

A search was carried out and two phones were found along with 38 wraps of suspected crack cocaine and cash.

A 23-year-old man, from Walsall, was arrested on suspicion of two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and possession of a class B drug.

He remains in police custody while inquiries continue.
